Editor / Press Release
"I glanced at the television and saw ominous green flashes on the dark
screen. My heart sank. That day, I realized, the day we started bombing
Afghanistan, was another family's 9/11, a day when something fell out of
the sky and crushed their innocent loved ones . . .": statement by a
family member of a victim of the 9/11 attack on the U.S.
The Kootenay Region Branch of the UNAC and the USCC Working Group for
Peace & Justice will hold a memorial vigil for the seventh anniversary
of the bombing of Afghanistan. We join with member groups of the
Canadian Peace Alliance across Canada.
Join us at the Castlegar Courthouse on Saturday, October 18 at 3:00 pm.
We shall have speakers, music and the open mic for friends and
supporters to express their views.
